The new season has started and what a wonderful start it is too. As we write this the weather is beautiful and the skies are blue. Whilst we did benefit from a good wet season, the river levels have already started to drop
Naibor has started off a new season with the sad departure of Jamie and Sophia, who have been fabulous, and we wish them both well. However we are anticipating the exciting arrival of Vicki and Adam Kennedy, an English couple who have been working in Tanzania for the past two years, who will be the new managers as of February 24th 2010.
Naibor has had an excellent start to the year, with a new addition being added to the resident pod of hippos on the 22nd of December. Our new Hippo, Rudolf, was named by the clients staying at Naibor at the time he was born - a fitting name as it was just before Christmas! We have been lucky enough to have several visits by Rudolf and his mother, sometimes during lunch and other times sitting down by the campfire at night.
Naibor and Little Naibor have had a fantastic season. The camp, looking green and lush after good rains in the evenings and beautiful sunny days, has allowed our guests to have amazing game viewing.
Naibor and Little Naibor are in full swing now that tourism is once again flowing into Kenya. We have had some fantastic game sightings in and around the camp. Our resident Leopard left us a treat behind Little Naibor Suite 2 – a fresh waterbuck kill in a tree!
