Rhino Charge is like a giant with a soft underbelly. The rough competition that ensures all participants are in for a bumpy ride in an unforgiving terrain is all for a worthy cause. It is to support the activities of the Rhino Ark Charitable Trust, an NGO which works towards the conservation and protection of Kenya’s mountain range ecosystems. The Trust is committed to saving the dwindling rhino population in Aberdare National Park while mitigating human-wildlife conflicts around the park. Entrants are required to visit 13 guard posts scattered over approximately 100 km2 of rough terrains. They are to do this within a 10 hour period with nothing more than a 1:50,000 scale map of the venue, coordinates of the 13 guard posts, their mean machines of course and their starting positions the night before the event. The very first Rhino Charge raised 250,000 shillings and has increased over the years to 139 million shillings in the 2016 event. For such a worthy cause Naibor Camps has been and continues to be a proud raffle sponsor, donating a two-night stay for two at our camp. If you are wondering how to participate in the raffle, all you need to do is choose a team and sponsor them with a minimum amount of Ksh. 2,000 or equivalent. For every Ksh. 2,000 you donate you receive one raffle ticket. You not only stand a chance of winning one of the great prizes available, including a stay at Naibor Camp, but you also support a great cause. Visit the Rhino Charge site now for more information.
