Naibor Camps’ rates, plus useful tips and information
CHILDREN: We accept children under 8 years on request, but please note that this is a private, wilderness destination with no barriers or fences, so parental supervision is necessary at all times. Regretfully, children under 12years are not permitted to go on safari walks. We would appreciate if parents would show consideration to other guests where children are concerned. We provide early dinners for children and a child-minding service can be arranged by prior request.

CLIMATE: The ‘long’ rains arrive in April/May and ‘short’ rains fall in November. Hottest times tend to be March and October.

TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures around 15°C, maximum 32°C.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT & ATTIRE: The camp is informal so we recommend you pack for comfort. Hat, sunscreen, binoculars, camera & extra film, walking shoes are essential. The Mara can get cold at night and in the early mornings and evenings so we recommend you dress in layers. A light waterproof is advisable.

MALARIA: This is a Malaria area and you should contact your travel health specialist prior to departure and take the necessary precautions.

PARK/CONSERVATION FEES: $99 per adult/day, $58 per child/day.

ACCESS: Naibor Camps is accessible either by regular scheduled flights from Nairobi (approx. 40 mins), Samburu, Lewa Downs and Nanyuki or by short private charter flights from Nairobi, the Mara or Amboseli, The nearest and best airstrip for Naibor Camps is Ol Kiombo. The Camp can also be reached by road from Nairobi (approx. 6 hours). Please note that a four-wheel-drive vehicle is required.
